Even if you took sick leave you're still entitled to reimbursement for some of your lost wages. It's all about earning potential, and let's face itâ¦there are better things you could be doing with those sick days!
if you don't live in a no-fault state you can still get your lost wages back from the other auto insurance company. That includes overtime, bonuses, etc., in case you were interested! What you're going to need here is verification from your employer that you're missing out and verification from your doctor that you're not doing it just because you wanted a day off!
Remember, auto insurance companies expect to reimburse lost wages even if you do have some kind of supplemental income coming in, whether that's disability, sick pay, or whatever. You shouldn't lose a penny because of somebody else's carelessness. Auto insurance is there to make sure you don't have to.
